In July of 1930, Floyd Snow flew his self built monoplane for the first time in Panaca, Nevada. This aircraft featured a 50 HP Gnome Rotary Engine as its powerplant. Construction was simple metal and wood with doped canvas. Aviation resources were limited in Panaca in the 1930’s requiring Floyd to be creative with his manufacturing techniques and limited supplies.
